Meet Betty.
She's the rolling heart of our mission—a vintage vessel for love, community, and the perfect bowl of soup.
Found in an Orchard,
Built for a Movement.
Betty wasn't always a soup star. When Sonya found her, she was tucked under a tattered tarp in a forgotten Ontario orchard. She was a tired 1974 Shasta Compact—a "canned ham" trailer that had seen better decades.
But Sonya saw the bones. Using her years of construction grit and Cam's culinary vision, they stripped Betty down to her aluminum studs. Every rivet was checked, every birch panel was hand-sanded, and the tiny kitchen was reimagined as a high-performance soup laboratory.
"She isn't just a food truck. She's proof that anything can be made whole again with enough love and a little elbow grease."

The Betty-isms
Every 50-year-old traveler has a few stories (and squeaks).
The Squeaky Step
The third step up into Betty has a specific 'C-sharp' squeak. We call it her doorbell—it tells us when a friend is coming in for a shift.
The Sunset Window
The pass-through window was lowered by 4 inches during the rebuild. Why? So we could look our neighbors in the eye while we serve.
Original 74' Latch
Her door handle is original. It's been touched by thousands of hands seeking summer adventures; now it welcomes souls seeking warmth.
"Standing at that window, for a few minutes, nobody is a stranger. Everyone is just hungry for connection."
— Nelson
The Window is the Heart.
Most food trucks focus on speed. We focus on the pause. The window of Betty Soup is where we hear about the newborn babies, the hard job losses, the celebrations, and the grief.
We designed the window to be low and wide. It's not a barrier; it's an invitation. We've seen marriage proposals over our tomato bisque and long-lost neighbors reunite while waiting for their sourdough.
