We’re bringing warmth back to the streets — one bowl at a time. Every Souped Up dish is made from scratch, seasoned with love, and served piping hot from our vintage food truck. From smoky chowders to grilled cheese melt bombs, this isn’t your average soup stop — it’s a rolling comfort zone.

The Story Behind the Spoon

Food has always been my love language.

Some of my earliest memories are sitting cross-legged on the floor with my siblings, watching Wok with Yan. That’s where it started, my love for food, for the rhythm of the kitchen, and the joy of bringing people together around a meal. My first job at Farmer Brown’s corn stand only fed the fire. I was ten, and proud to be part of something that made people smile.

What began as a home bakery selling Christmas treats quickly grew into full catering — late nights, early mornings, and tables filled with comfort food. I moved to Toronto to study Network Engineering, built a career in tech, and then watched it all collapse during the 2008 downturn. After ten months of searching, I followed my heart back to the kitchen and opened Scratch Fresh Foods, a southern-Canadian restaurant built on heart and hospitality.

Years later, I traded the kitchen for construction — but something was missing. I missed the noise, the stories, the way a good meal could soften the edges of a hard day. I was missing the passion, love and creativity that only food allowed me to feel. Souped Up is my way back to that feeling — to the warmth, the laughter, the simple kind of love that only comes from sharing food made with heart. This isn’t just a food truck. It’s a home on wheels
